Role Summary:
The Brand Advocate Manager, apart of the Enterprise Product Management (EPM) team, is responsible for the development of strategic roadmaps to meet evolving business needs and company initiatives related to product management. This individual is responsible for leading a team of experienced individuals with extensive functional knowledge of Retek, PDM, (among other systems) and is accountable for core processes and projects impacting work executed by Brand Advocate team. This role requires an aptitude for management of complex business scenarios across conflicting priorities with a need for strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels and functions in the organization. This position is highly visible, cross-functional, and will also work closely with 3rd party contracted partners and Vendors. The Manager drives partnership with cross-functional leadership teams to develop solutions which deliver end-to-end business results using people, process, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Thinking/Planning:
  • Key contributor to the development of Enterprise Product Management and Brand Advocate strategies and as an outcome; influences the best approaches, processes, and tools in which the work should be executed
  • Accountable for the development of and execution against end-to-end strategies for relevant categories in support of Enterprise Product Management and Brand Advocate goals
  • Design, implement, and manage intake processes to create efficiency in end-to-end product creation and maintenance
2. People Leadership:
  • Responsible for recruiting and maintaining a team of experienced individuals recognized across the organization for their expertise of end-to-end product management best practices
  • Provide strategic guidance, vision, expertise and direction to manage capacity/priorities of the team by gaining cross-functional alignment, providing clear and timely direction, assessing current and upcoming workload, and utilizing data to accurately articulate a fact-based story
  • Collaborates across the Enterprise Product Management organization to maintain consistency in partner and Vendor experiences/expectations
3. Organizational Agility:
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including regular meeting rhythms and future planning to anticipate and support business needs
  • Set expectations for product management best practices and enterprise value with Vendors, internal, and 3rd party partners
  • Encourage collaboration across business and operations teams to support and improve processes by driving consistency, sustainability, and efficiency
4. Business and Process Improvement:
  • Manage development, optimization, and sustainability of end-to-end processes and documentation with an emphasis on business activities, roles and responsibilities needed to develop, deliver and maintain customer experiences in all facets of the business
  • Advises and informs leadership of key findings and recommendations in a timely manner
  • Assist in the administration of invoicing and contract management, as needed
Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in any combination of the following areas: eCommerce, Retail, Operations, Analytics, Demand Planning or Merchandising
  • 4+ years directly and indirectly leading teams
  • 4+ years of experience leading cross-functional groups to isolate business outcomes and drive the most efficient outcome
  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive business goals
Preferred:
  • Demonstrated and extensive experience establishing strong internal and external business partnerships
  • Strong technical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically, build consensus, anticipate problems and solutions, and work with business partners
  • Experience owning highly visible and impactful end-to-end processes
  • Experience in objectively tracking and interpreting performance metrics
  • Proven ability to effectively execute executive-level communication both verbally and in written form with leadership, management, team members, and cross-functional partners
