Exciting opportunity for a candidate with manufacturing, process, and business analyst skills to work in Arthrex's newest and growing plant located in Pendleton, SC. This position will tackle complex business challenges while improving current processes by leveraging Lean/Six Sigma and other process improvement techniques. The ideal candidate is comfortable with change, seeks incremental improvements and has the ability to determine when processes and systems are maximized for value. The candidate will value a team environment and across the organization establishing and maintaining positive working realtionships in person and virtually. The Business Analyst position works directly with business departments within Arthrex to elucidate and manage requirements of projects and enhancements. A successful candidate must have experience documenting business processes and suggesting improvements. The position liaises with the technical organization and assists project managers and business sponsors to determine the timelines and costs of specific projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
  • Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, detailed functional requirements, operational requirements, process flows, and test cases.
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, train, and deploy solutions.
  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define / execute test cases.
  • Document current processes and models to understand potential improvement.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Adhere to the Quality System and C hange C ontrol Procedures .

Additional Duties & Responsibilitie s

  • Lead process improvements and IT projects to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Lead collaboration with business for documentation of As-Is and To-Be Processes.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  • Proactively propose improvements to business.
  • Manage projects with cross functional teams and of global scope.

Specialized Skills

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Professional certification in Agile methodologies is preferred
  • Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is preferred
  • Understand the major functions in a global organization


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 + years of relevant work experience required

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, diagramming tools; as well as Enterprise applications (where applicable): ERP, PLM, DMS, HRIS, CRM, MES, and BI.
