This senior level role is critical to our success as part of Enterprise Continuity Services and Resiliency for the Bank. Current remit for this team includes setting policy, standards, managing implementation of policy and standards, and measuring conformance to these.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As Business Continuity Managing Director you will
Provide leadership to business and corporate areas for implementation and when necessary, remediation of data for Business Continuity Management System upgrade to Archer X
Interact with senior executives across all global divisions on various topics including but not limited to upcoming changes to standards/policies and identification of risk areas that may need enhanced executive focus
Provide effective leadership for across global divisions to develop appropriate understanding and response to potential third-party disruption risks
Provide Management with effective and informed fact patterns regarding issues arising so that decisions can be made
Continue to progress current efforts underway across all disciplines, furthering things like education and cultural inclusion across State Street
Coordinate responses to regulatory exams and inquiries and, when appropriate,represent Enterprise Continuity Program to regulators
Develop effective relationships with Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and business stakeholders as necessary
Operationalize projects, policies and other initiatives as they mature and move into Business As Usual activities

Team player with ability to consider the big picture and do what is right for the company, not always just what is right for the team to make the right decisions for the bank
Ability to make informed decisions within prescribed time frames with the best information available
Education & Preferred Qualifications
12 15 years of experience in the financial services industry
Diverse experience across different disciplines including operations, risk and controls or compliance
Proven track record of successfully managing or driving global initiatives
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop strategy, lead people and ability to make decisions even when they may be unpopular
