As a Child Forensic Interview Specialist at Stuart House, you will conduct developmentally-appropriate and culturally-sensitive forensic interviews of children and adolescents as well as special needs adults who are suspected victims of sexual abuse. You will serve as an important member of a multidisciplinary/interagency investigatory team (MDT) while providing consultation and training to other staff. You will also collaborate with other Stuart House staff to maintain statistical case records as appropriate.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 0800-1630 + some evening on-call

Qualifications

Were seeking an exceptionally empathetic Clinical Social Worker/LCSW/LMFT/ or Psychologist with:
Masters degree in Social Work, Masters Degree in Psychology, or PhD in Psychology
A minimum of two years of experience evaluating child sexual abuse cases in a clinical setting
English/Spanish bilingual - Required
Experience conducting forensic interviews with children and developmentally delayed adults who are suspected victims of sexual abuse
Ability to provide expert testimony in criminal proceedings
Knowledge of child forensic interview protocols, best practices in child sexual abuse investigations, child development, childrens disclosures in abuse cases, childrens language acquisition skills, childrens memory and suggestibility, CACs, MDTs, developmental disabilities, and cultural issues that impact children and families in abuse cases
Advanced knowledge of impacts of sexual abuse trauma on children and families
Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of law enforcement, prosecutors, and DCFS personnel
Knowledge of bio-psycho-social development across all age groups
Understanding of advocacy, medical, legal, psychological and social aspects of CSA cases
Advanced knowledge of child trauma intervention, family systems theory, and domestic violence
Competence in assessing and intervening in suicidality/homicidality situations
Strong crisis intervention skills
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, conflict resolution and teamwork abilities
Ability to develop and coordinate a plan of intervention
Commitment to confidentiality of patient information
Working knowledge of appropriate community referrals
Ability to engage in self-reflection to enhance the quality of consultation, advocacy, and coordination services
