POSITION SUMMARY
The Claim Solutions Lead is responsible for enhancing the service offering and value proposition of Life and Disability Claims. The Claim Solutions Lead is involved both with external clients and brokers through sales and marketing support and with internal initiatives that enhance claim processes and capabilities.

For external sales and marketing support, the Claim Solutions Lead primarily assists with core market, absence management clients, but may also assist with large market and with other products as needed. The Claim Solutions Lead will help to develop strategies with marketing and sales to communicate the Group Life & Disability capabilities and value proposition, maintain awareness of competitive issues, trends, and opportunities in the marketplace, and partner with internal resources to identify business opportunities that will drive change, positively affect the bottom line, and deliver optimal service performance to our customers.

For internal initiatives, the Claim Solutions Lead will assist in key activities related to projects and initiatives, including but not limited to: subject matter expertise, development of business cases and business requirements, process evaluation and improvement, and brainstorming/problem solving sessions.

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with sales and marketing to meet annual Sales goal and communicate the Life & Disability Value Proposition
  • Attend finalist/broker presentations, implementation meetings and service calls - primarily on a remote basis for core market, but may also including onsite client/broker meetings and large market support as needed
  • Assist with client training, marketing development, and thought leadership as it relates to expectations for claims process and service
  • Participate in Group Claims initiatives and project opportunities, such as continuous improvement and change management
  • Serve as Subject Matter Experts, representing Group Claims in various initiatives and projects, to help gather, review, and analyze requirements
  • Deliver on key initiatives and goals that align with Group CGM and Claims aspirational and strategic goals
  • Build strong partnerships and develop relationships throughout the entire Claim organization and Guardian
  • Effectively interact and communicate with Claims and IT leadership
  • Evaluate business processes and assist in identifying and implementing process improvements

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Director, Operational Effectiveness who, in turn, reports to the Vice President, Group Claims. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work/education experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Group Claims, Sales, and/or Account Management required
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard schedules

TRAVEL
Up to 25% Travel - travel to clients/brokers and/or claim offices will be required, as needed
