Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Negotiable, as part of CSA coverage plan)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Summary

This individual will provide a full range of support for Relationship Managers by acting as a liaison between client service and several departments within Boston Partners. This person will correspond directly with clients and their consultants in the normal course of business and will act as a backup to the Relationship Manager on assigned client relationships.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers in various aspects of client servicing and provide support to the Investment team

  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of all assigned client relationships including investment strategies, portfolio guidelines and reporting requirements

  • Gather data for Relationship Managers to respond to non-routine requests

  • Manage clients and consultants routine requests and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

  • Assist Relationship Managers in preparing for client visits including submitting presentation book requests and gathering firm-wide and product specific data

  • Coordinate and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for clients and consultants

  • Client Service Associates must maintain proficiency on several industry database and reporting systems


  • Bachelors degree; concentration in Business/Finance is a plus

  • Candidate must have a positive attitude and intuitive client service skills

  • Strong communication and analytical skills are required

  • Candidate should be a reliable, have the ability to work independently, be very organized and have the ability to juggle several tasks simultaneously

  • A solid understanding of the financial markets is required, experience at an investment management firm or equivalent is preferred

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel are required; knowledge of FactSet, BNY Mellon Workbench, Varden and Microsoft Dynamics CRM are a plus

  • Minimum of two years of experience is required

Additional Ad Hoc Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior office members of the office with a variety of tasks such as updating materials and running all requested reports
  • Printing and mailing monthly/quarterly hard copy client reports

  • Various administrative related tasks such as ordering office supplies, retrieving mail, printing, and binding client presentation books, organizing meetings which includes setting up conference rooms, meeting spaces and lunches as needed

  • Process invoices and assist senior members with travel and expense reports

  • Provide administrative support at reception desk. Duties include, greeting guests, answering phones providing support for on-site meetings and other ad hoc receptionist duties as needed
