Primary Purpose:

• Reports to and assists the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) Senior Director in all aspects of managing the department.
• Responsible for OCR team management, including 1:1s, evaluations, training and mentoring.
• Facilitate and serve as Chair of multiple committees.
• Manage multiple clinical research projects.
• Serve as research liaison for many UC and UCH relationships.
• Work closely with departments such as IS&T, Compliance, Privacy, Security, Legal and Billing for various UCH projects.
• Responsible for EpicCare Link, Footprints, and various other approvals/operations.
• Work with various team members to enhance clinical research services to UC and UCH.
• Stay up-to-date on all best practice, trends and developments related to clinical research.

Required: Working knowledge of clinical research. Extensive knowledge of clinical trials processes strongly desired. Previous management and/or operational skills.

Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to initiate new relationships easily. Advanced proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Office).

Ability to interact effectively with pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations, and to work collaboratively with university and hospital departments. Demonstrate diplomacy, tact and professional demeanor.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, Management or related field

Years of Experience: 2-4 years clinical research or management experience, preferably in a healthcare, pharmaceutical industry or academic environment.
