Job Title Cognos Team Lead

Location California, Pleasanton (Remote until COVID)

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Build and Integrate TM1 as a data source for other consuming applications.


• Work with Business Analysts to gather, analyze and document system requirements.


• Monitor and troubleshoot escalated support tickets.


• Perform TM1 performance testing, application support, and user acceptance training.


• Participate in technical design of specifications and documents.


• Identify process improvement opportunities.


• Document and communicate risk assessments pertaining to new functionality and enhancements.


• Collects data, analyzes and reports for early detection and correction, continual improvement.


• Recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience developing OLAP models in IBM Cognos TM1 or another OLAP tool, such as IBM Cognos Planning or Hyperion Planning / Essbase.


• Understanding and experience in TM1 cubes / Rules / TI processes /Active Forms / Web sheets.


• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles required in order to provide analytical support.


• Knowledge of TM1 architecture and best practices for TM1 development.


• Should have minimum of 8 years of IT experience Working experience building and supporting cubes in TM1 version 10.2 and above.


• Strong knowledge of TM1 Rules, Feeders, and Turbo Integrator Processes.


• Experienced with creating different time-based models.


• Programming language experience with MDX, SQL, and VBA.
