  • Computer skills to include a working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Lotus Notes. Knowledge of other software is a plus.
  • Good writing skills to develop a wide range of documents
  • Ability to train operators in equipment set-up and operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret reporting requirements and to use measurement gages and instruments.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to pass Combustion training given, at a minimum, every five years.

duties and skills required of incumbents in this job classification .Job Summary Primary Combustion System floor responsibility for AMS 2750D, including but not limited to record keeping, repair, adjustment, and calibration of systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install and adjust regulators and maintain inventory of same
  • Install and maintain flow meters for endo, gas and air on all furnaces and generators
  • Repair all combustion systems on burners. Maintain adequate inventory of burner heads and tips.
  • Adjust all burners for maximum efficiency
  • Install gas valves
  • Adjust and calibrate all CI controllers
  • Repair or ship out for repair all Alnor dew point testers.
  • Maintain inventory of all filters and filter materials for combustion blowers
  • Maintain inventory of tub cards. Order as required
  • Maintain inventory of all chart materials (pens, chart paper, etc.)
  • Perform all plumbing on burners, gas trains, endo lines
  • Perform trouble-shooting on furnaces (locating burner problems, gas leaks, endo leaks, burner performance irregularities)
  • Perform first time Fire Up of furnaces after major maintenance.
  • Perform manometer tests on regulators, adjust as required.
  • Continue to train on combustion systems, burner adjustments, exhaust gas analysis
  • Perform mandated combustion gas train safety inspections. Certification required and being acquired.
  • Perform system accuracy checks on all thermocouples (Thermal Processing requirements in accordance with AMS 2750D)
  • Make out production reports, timecards and other reports or forms as required.
  • Operators of power equipment will be responsible for checking oil, water, fuel, etc. before and during the operation of said equipment.
  • Assist with Uniformity surveys
  • Maintain records as required for thermal processing
  • Perform job duties in compliance with quality standards.
  • Responsible for the proper care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions closely.
  • Must keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Must wear safety equipment as required and work safely at all times.
  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.
