Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a Corporate Communications Specialist within our Marketing team. The Corporate Communications Specialist develops and implements internal and external communication strategies & tactics that engage employees and patients, reinforce company priorities, and help shape company culture. The position requires a passion for telling stories and writing impactful, polished copy for a wide range of communications needs. The individual will work in close collaboration with the marketing and human resources departments as well as other support services functions as needed to effectively roll-out and promote new initiatives and programs.





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Provide strategic counsel to internal clients on how to best communicate information and new initiatives internally and externally.



Develop and manage existing and new communication vehicles and platforms such as webinars, videos, newsletters, annual highlight summaries, blogs, etc.



Research, write and develop articles, emails, website content, intranet content, social media posts, talking points, video scripts, PowerPoint presentations and other deliverables as needed.



Maintain and optimize an internal and external communications calendar to ensure we are covering timely events and information with our employees and patients.



Write company press releases and other public relations materials as needed and develop strong relationships with local media outlets to drive media coverage of initiatives that warrant it.



Develop and manage an annual awards/recognition calendar and facilitate completion of all nominations to the awards groups and sponsors as needed.



Create visually impactful promotional materials that drive excitement for new programs and offerings for our employees and patients.



Write strong, clear, and compelling copy while maintaining consistency of voice, style, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.



Secure the appropriate approvals for all communications deliverables. Collaborate with Senior Leadership on creating communications and getting approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Licensures & Certifications



Required: Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or Marketing or equivalent education and experience



Preferred: Canva and Adobe InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop experience



Preferred: Experience working within a healthcare or hospital system environment



Required: A minimum of three to five (3-5) years strategic communications experience in a corporate setting





Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and professional presence.



Possesses strong customer-service oriented mindset.



Works independently and drives to results.



Responds promptly to inquiries/requests and delivers on commitments.



Promotes a team approach, collaborates and engages in appropriate problem-solving methods.



Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure, meet deadlines, and monitor/evaluate results.



Strong promotional skills with the ability to clearly articulate the companys benefits, features and care model.



Skilled knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital/social platforms.
