The Director of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for providing financial leadership at the corporate level, leading the reporting and analysis of operating results, driving the planning, and forecasting process and assisting executive management in the development of strategic plans for Hillenbrand. This role works closely with operating company CFOs and segment leaders to provide analysis on actual results, develops forecasts and action plans to achieve financial targets, and provides financial analysis and decision support to the executive management team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Lead Hillenbrand's annual operating plan process and quarterly forecasting process, working with each individual operating company to finalize key financial and operating metrics for the company
  • Lead the development of the long-range financial projections in support of organic and inorganic growth targets as part of the annual strategic planning process
  • Lead Hillenbrand's operating companies through financial cycles including monthly analysis of actual results, development of rolling forecast updates, and development of annual operating and long-range financial plans
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analyze financial information to understand current and expected future financial performance; identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly
  • Lead and/or participate in enterprise level strategic projects including, but not limited to, M&A due diligence and integrations, etc.
  • Drive Finance Transformation across the enterprise by partnering with Operating Company CFOs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function
  • Partner with operating companies to improve financial metrics and forecasting, evaluate capital investment opportunities, and lead financial planning activities for the integration of acquired businesses
  • Develop creative and insightful analysis of complex business issues to inform executive leadership and drive effective decisions in support of the company's profitable growth objectives
  • Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
  • Develop financial presentations and written communications for presentation to executive management, the board of directors, and external investors and analysts
  • Provide financial leadership and business partner support to all corporate departments

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive corporate finance experience, including 5+ years in senior management position

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills including ability to implement strategic plans required

  • Demonstrated experience with Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) projects that involved financial due diligence, valuation, synergy tracking and/or post-merger integration preferred

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as experience interacting with executive management and other key constituents required

  • Excellent financial modeling, project management, and strategic thinking skills required

  • Strong work ethic and ability to foster working relationships throughout the organization at all levels required

  • Industrial manufacturing and international experience preferred

  • Expert Microsoft Office skills and OneStream experience strongly preferred

Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent; and a minimum of 10 years related finance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.MBA or CPA strongly preferredTravel: Up to 10% travel may be requiredPhysical Demands:To perform this job successfully, the physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee.
