Under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Services Business Manager, is responsible for navigating patients through the process of receiving their COVID-19 vaccination series.
This is a temporary part-time position working 24 hours per week.

A. Clinical Leadership
Team builder with ability to rapidly problem solve and lead staff in the delivery of safe and effective care in a calm and efficient manner in vaccine clinic setting.
Provides direction and oversight to vaccine clinic staff. Facilitates patient scheduling for 1st and 2nd dose COVID-19 vaccinations, patient flow, communication, vaccine education, documentation and follow up throughout the vaccine cycle.
Maintains current knowledge of SARS CoV2 Vaccines by reading, attending virtual seminars and utilizing relevant software applications.
Performs COVID-19 vaccine administration safely and appropriately in accordance with standing vaccine protocols and standing medical orders; enters orders, assess patient's condition, administers vaccines, monitors post-vaccination period for adverse reactions.
Provided education regarding vaccine options and schedules patients for vaccinations.
Proficient with electronic documentation, maintains accurate vaccine schedules, documentation, reports and records.
Identifies and responds appropriately to urgent or emergent medical situations such as adverse vaccine events, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis. Documents and reports vaccine adverse events per local and federal channels.
B. Staff Development
Utilizes staff and material resources in an efficient, cost effective manner
Serves as a mentor and preceptor to develop vaccine clinic staff members to be proficient in their job role.
C. Quality
Participates in quality assurance, data analysis, and quality review for vaccine clinic.
Adheres to infection prevention standards and best practices to prevent the spread of illness or disease, promotes good hand hygiene practices
Takes an active role in clinical documentation improvement including electronic vaccine ordering and documentation system and analysis of quality reports
D. Patient Advocacy
Utilizes appropriate resources for non-English speaking patients, healthcare illiterate patients, hearing and sight impaired patients and caregivers
Takes proactive steps to recognize and report suspected abuse/neglect, including, child abuse, elder abuse, sexual abuse, and spousal abuse.
E. Professionalism
Adheres to the standards of profession as outlined by the American Nurses Association
Continues professional growth by maintaining education hours for license renewals and participating in hospital committees, clinical council, and professional organizations. Maintains certification: BLS.
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience: Minimum 3 years nursing experience with ambulatory care, clinic experience. Experienced preceptor with leadership experience preferred. Proficient with use of technology, computer programs, and electronic medical records.

Licensure: Current New Hampshire RN license, BLS.
