NI is seeking an intern for the Fall 2022 Semester. Potential candidates should be energetic, self-starters who are interested in supporting local programming designed to connectNIersto the company, each other, and their local communities. Interested candidates should be highly resourceful multi-taskers who enjoy hands-on, rapidly evolving projects.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Executes local volunteer, social, DEI, and employee appreciation events. Examples of these types of events/responsibilities include: Employee appreciation Celebrations, Corporate Impact partner volunteer opportunities, Black History Month, and Volunteer Month.

  • Supports the Culture and Connection Programs Specialist with U.S. employee workplace giving and volunteer program strategy; includes Impact partner volunteer events, administrative support of internal volunteer tool, volunteer recognition,seasonal campaigns, and alignment to global goals.

  • Leverage internal and external communication tools to promote programs and culture to employees, including leading content curation of biweekly promotional newsletter and management of internal SharePoint pages.

  • Draft internal communications for the promotion of volunteer opportunities, employee appreciation events, and seasonal campaigns.

  • Demonstrates professionalism, positivity, and a proactive attitude during the planning and execution of highly visible events and campaigns.

  • Documents team processes and procedures for internal team use.

  • Champions and role models NI's culture, values, and brand.
  • Requirements:

  • Available part-time (20 hours/week, minimum 15 hours/week). This internship will be performed in a hybrid model of remote and onsite work. The intern will need to be able to flex their work scheduledue to early morning or evening events. Events taking place outside of typical business hours will be communicated in advance.

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree and must be currently enrolled in related coursework.

  • Ability to workeffectively and collaboratively across multiple teams; contributing to shared outcomes; and embracing ambiguity to meet company outcomes.

  • Excellent communication skills (including verbal, writing, and editing) along with rigorous attention to detail are a must.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Experience and interest in employee engagement, volunteer program management, events planning, and/or HR roles preferred.

  • Abilityto adapt to changing business needs thatmayimpact projectdeliverablesand timelines.
