Under the supervision of the Inside Sales Manager, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for quotations, customer service, up-selling, order entry and assisting the customer in defining solutions that meet specifications/needs and coordinating information between the company and the customer.
AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, YOU WILL:
  • You will be the liason between customers and internal stakeholders
  • You will act as the company's single-source customer service link
  • You will coordinate "pre-sale" development with sales personnel to include pricing, availability, configuration and profitability
  • You will create quotations of varying complexity & utilize professional sales techniques to help successfully close an order
  • You will evaluate request for quotations and assist in all aspects of preparing the quote including determining & clarifying customer technical requirements and providing supporting technical documentation
  • You will assist in customer returns, assignment of Authorization to Return (ATR) numbers, and data gathering regarding product/process malfunction for root-cause-analysis
  • You will partner with Engineering to determine if engineering specifications conform to purchase order requirements and service conditions of valves ordered on all orders

  • You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels
  • You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Customer service or inside sales experience
  • Exhibits positive customer service attitude
  • Experience in sales and marketing fundamentals for selling valve and/or related products to the Energy Industry
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including but not limited to Sales Polices & Manuals, Operating and Maintenance Instructions, Customer Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to resolve problems, finish assigned tasks, and make good decisions based on industry experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer pricing structures
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Valve or related manufacturing industry
