Core Responsibilities:

- Providing customer services for international claims for the reimbursement of medical expenses for the unit's dedicated contracts.

- Responding to incoming queries from members and providers in an appropriate and timely manner. Appropriate responses may require in-depth analysis and involve expert advice (Medical Consultant, Account Manager, Network Manager, Legal Advisor etc). An appropriate response that is correct, clear, concise and customer-friendly.

- Answering incoming overflow calls from the COCE for dedicated contracts, or those escalated by the COCE for expert advice.

- Taking ownership of difficult or high-value files.

- Responding via the most efficient channel (e.g. phone, e-mail, letter, etc).

- Following up on the individual workload and taking appropriate action when agreed targets are not met.

- Pro-actively optimizing the unit's workflows to achieve set targets.

- Providing accurate file information to internal employees where required.

- Tracking procedural irregularities and raising these with the Supervisors.

- Raising problems or difficult issues with the Head.

- Actively working to maintain a co-operative and friendly working environment.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must have a High School Diploma.

- Bachelors or similar by experience a plus.

- Minimum of two years experience in call center customer service.

- Great computer skills required.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.

- Sales force experience a plus.

- Ability to function in a team based/matrix environment.

- Strong commitment, drive and motivation to provide excellent customer service.

- Empathetic and sensitive to patients' needs and concerns.

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbal and written.

- Detail oriented and able to accurately input and effectively manage data.

- Ability to understand and interpret policy provisions.

- Ability to take personal ownership for meeting/exceeding all production and quality standards.

- Finds a good balance between quality and quantity.

- Ability to work discretely with confidential (medical) information.

- Team-player: enjoys working as part of a team.

NOTE : We are currently training in a work at home environment, and you will be required to have reliable internet connectivity provided through a wired connection. A mobile or hot spot environment is not acceptable.

This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
