To strengthen our Minimally Invasive Therapies Group Business in EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) within Surgical Innovations division focused on Robotic Assisted Surgery we are currently looking for a fulltime passionate, independent and solution-oriented Customer Training Specialist with excellent interpersonal skills, didactic personality and natural ability to educate healthcare professionals. This is a great challenge for a persuasive individual with a clinical/ medical devices or healthcare background. Strong communication skills in English are required.

A Day in the Life
We offer you a position where you are responsible for delivery of Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) technology training to surgeons, first assistants, and Operating Room staff from a variety of surgical specialties aligned with the core strategy. You will be actively involved in the continuous improvement of training programs and provide support for customer training and training research initiatives. Furthermore, you will establish relationships within designated external training entities in targeted global geographies.
Next to that, you will modify the design of existing training content to create an internal sales training curriculum.
We expect you to act as support for RAS system troubleshooting at the training center. It will be your responsibility to manage training center logistics, inventory, and training calendars in conjunction with key stakeholders. Together with training center staff, maintaining all capital equipment, including but not limited to the cleaning and reprocessing of instruments and accessories will be your responsibility as well.

Finally, you will develop expertise in the following:
RAS System Technology
RAS System applications and advanced technology
OR Efficiency
Training Pathway process
Training/coaching techniques/methodologies
We expect you to be able to deliver valuable training courses to Health Care Professionals (HCP) at designated training partner facilities.

Topics will include:

  • Introduction to robotic surgery, features and benefits and systems comparison
  • System overview, instrument portfolio and accessories
  • Pre-operative phase
  • Patient positioning, ports and Arm Cart set up
  • Intra-operative use, surgeon and bedside activities and interactions
  • Console controls and activities
  • Troubleshooting
  • Post-operative phase
  • Reprocessing

Prior to training execution phase described above, you will focus on pre-market preparation of marketing strategies, including:
  • RAS sales training curriculum development
  • RAS specialty expansion within targeted customer sites

This position requires also collaboration with the marketing and sales training team in a creative, dependable, and flexible manner to improve existing training programs.

To be successful in this role you need to have solid organizational skills and the ability to operate independently. Besides, you also demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment. Furthermore, you are committed to self-development and professional work ethic. You show a high capacity and excellent problem-solving skills. Last but not least, you show the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment. In this role you will report directly to the Customer Training Manager EMEA in Robotic Customer Operations located in Spain.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Management, Engineering or Education\
  • Clinical, healthcare and/or operating room experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Medical-device experience
  • Proven experience training on complex topics and/or technology
  • Fluent in English and local language
  • You are flexible with hours of operation
  • Living in Europe. This is a home office-based role and requires ability to travel up to 75%, primarily within Europe
