The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and applying cutting-edge data analyses and visualization approaches towards immune-genomics studies at the computational-immunogenomics core. They will analyze biological datasets using existing methods and develop and customize existing pipelines, including data integration and advanced data science approaches. Automate model training, testing and deployment and ensure proper code documentation. They will implement metrics to verify model and algorithm effectiveness. Will train research staff for bioinformatics analyses and develop analytical tools for the acquisition, interrogation and data management, public and internal datasets. They will also develop and deploy custom scripts and pipelines to aid in data analyses efforts and support computational infrastructure development. They will develop interactive web-applications for data analysis and visualization. The Data Scientist will analyze, review, and rewrite programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt program to new requirements. They will also participate in formal requirement, design and code reviews. Will develop functional and technical design documents as well.Degree in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field required.
