Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Children's Hospital & Medical Center, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine is currently recruiting a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. We are seeking a physician candidate board certified in Pediatrics as well as board eligible/certified in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics or board eligible/certified in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Our ideal candidate will continue to develop our comprehensive academic/clinical program. Opportunities also exist to develop new or collaborative research initiatives. A UNMC faculty appointment will be commensurate with experience. Our Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics program serves both Children's and the Munroe-Meyer Institute(MMI). Our interdisciplinary team includes two board certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, two nurse practitioners, a clinical nurse specialist and behavioral health providers.

With a mission to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities and their families, MMI has over 300 faculty and staff in the numerous health and rehabilitation related fields. Located on the University of Nebraska College of Medicine campus, MMI provides over 50,000 patient visits per year (70% community based), conducts both basic and applied research and has an academic teaching program. The Nebraska LEND and UCEDD programs are located at MMI.

Children's Hospital & Medical Center is the only full-service, pediatric health care center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. Children's is home to Nebraska's only Level IV regional NICU and the state's only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. A regional heart center, it also offers expertise in pediatric heart transplantation. Children's is focused on extraordinary clinical care, education, basic science and translational research and advocacy and is embarking on transformational programmatic and physical growth. Opening in 2021, the new Hubbard Center for Children will be home to an additional 100 patient beds, an expanded NICU, a dedicated Cardiac Care Unit, a new Cancer & Blood Disorders Unit, expanded surgical space, an expanded Radiology and Emergency Department and more. The Child Health Research Institute was established in 2017 and aims to assist investigators with start-up funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science or translational research. Children's is recognized as a 2019-20 Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in five pediatric specialties: Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Orthopedics and Diabetes & Endocrine Disorders.

With a population of more than 925,000, Omaha offers all the amenities of a big city with the warmth of the Midwest.
