Digital Environment/IT Technical Lead

The Digital Environment Lead manages the design, deployment, operations and maintenance of an integrated hyperconverged hardware and software environment in the support of the systems engineering of a space/ground enterprise. The integrated digital environment supports Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) from design through production and disposal of a space/ground system including the use of digital threads and twins. The IDE Lead is responsible for all aspects of the digital environment specifically:
- Designs, builds and curates a comprehensive portfolio of IT, software, networking to deliver the systems engineering and analytical solutions to support the engineering and acquisition of a space/ground system.
- Ensure continuous access to the digital environment for the customer and multiple developers for use of all MBSE data and products, including administering user accounts, data marking integrity, and permissioning.
- Through the digital environment support the development, maintenance, and review of descriptive system models including requirements for the system, all MOSA interfaces, traceability, and architecture, both logical and physical.
- The IDE lead shall manage all aspects of the IDE to include license management of the HW/SW elements and internal Corporate Supply Chain coordination of renewals and scaling up/down of user accounts as appropriate to maximize productivity while minimizing cost.
- Incorporates market trends in technology, methodologies and organizational designs for digital environment optimization and engages with program members to ensure services, applications and performance meet program needs.

The DE Lead architects, designs, implements and maintains hyperconverged compute (HCI) infrastructure (i.e. VM's, compute and storage) and data backup recovery systems. The administrator also responds to and resolves internal and external user access and performance issues.


- Requires 16+ years with BS/BA or 14+ years with MS/MA or 10+ years with Ph.D.
- BS Degree in Computer Science or a related field (IT/Engineering/etc.) or equivalent experience in the military
- Strong understanding of private cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure, cloud, software defined networking, end user services, cyber and data center optimization; experience leading the design and integration of enterprise-level technical solutions.
- Experience with CISCO HyperFlex, FlexPods and VMware
- Experience evaluating and testing COTS software functionality.
- Experience with Windows 2016 and Red Hat Linux.
- Network + Certification.
