Our precast company is a leading producer of architectural and structural wall panels, and the nation's largest producer of precast concrete parking structures. We've provided structure and enclosure systems, components, and accessories for virtually every kind of project including corporate, cultural, government, educational, institutional, multi-unit residential buildings, sports stadiums and arenas, retail, industrial, correctional facilities, and warehouse structures. We are currently seeking a Director of Marketing to join our team!

General Description:

The Director of Marketing manages the marketing activity of the company to achieve profitable growth. Manages through a team including typically product/brand/communications/innovation/business development people. Responsible for research, analysis, planning, setting objectives, strategy, action plans and managing implementation and measurement and the deployment of resources. Oversees the Marketing Planning Process should be a strong contributor to strategic development in the organization.

Professional Experience:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience in a building materials environment, preferred

  • People management experience

  • Previous executive-level experience, preferably in the marketing function

  • Proven track record of performance launching products, building brands in a commercial construction environment, and launching campaigns that deliver a project pipeline and qualified leads

  • Ability to understands market environments, competitive dynamics and key business drivers.

  • Must have a successful track record directing and influencing others, fostering teamwork, coaching and developing employees, as well as building strong collaborative relationships with peers and senior management.

Job Functions & Duties:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for the annual marketing budget process, and to organize the marketing department structure to ensure the most profitable products, pricing, placement and promotion of our precast offers.

  • Demonstrates a strong desire to learn the pre-cast business and become an industry expert.

  • Analyses/understands financial impact to prioritize product/service offerings that optimize the profit and revenue of the business.

  • Anticipates future customer/market requirements and takes steps to fulfil them.

  • Demonstrates best practice budget management and use of KPIs.

  • Ensures all stakeholders understand what creates value for the customer/market.

  • Facilitates and drives the innovation process in cooperation with Director of Innovation.

  • Uses market/competitive intelligence to capitalize on competitors' position and gain advantage in the marketplace.

  • Actively negotiates with key stakeholders and functional counterparts to obtain required resources.

  • Builds strong collaborative relationships with others to deliver on strategic business goals and priorities.

  • Works hand in hand with sales team(s) on business development in all areas.

  • Understands current market environment, competitive dynamics and key business drivers.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, business, finance or related field or related practical experience.

  • MBA preferred
