  • Maximizing Operating Income and Profitability: Maximize operating income by managing all department expenses and continuously looking for new revenue streams and expense savings. Development, implementation and monitoring of the budget, annual forecast; market and business plan; capital budget; expense control; incremental revenue tracking and group monthly forecast.
  • Driving Customer Satisfaction: Consistently review/measure customer service through customer contact and surveys. Continue to drive high customer satisfaction through constant monitoring of product and service to ensure that customer expectations are being met or exceeded. Manage customer relationships from account turnover through execution of event.
  • Instrumental with Sales Initiatives & Increasing Group Revenue: Assist the Sales Team and Sales effort regarding both repeat and new groups. Instrumental with site visits, customer entertainment events, planning meetings and re-booking of future events. Assures the Catering/Convention Services Team maximizes food and beverage sales as well as ancillary services such as audio-visual, entertainment, golf, spa, restaurants, etc.
  • Manage and Drive Employee Satisfaction: Drive employee satisfaction through open communication to entire team to be sure that all managers are working toward common goals and team members understand how their rolls impact the entire team. Ensures that continuous development, training, and coaching practices are occurring. Serves as a dynamic, positive leader while fostering teamwork, employee morale and motivation.
  • Coordinates and directs the daily activities of all managers and direct reports in operations and department administrative support staff. Responsible for hiring, orientation, training, succession planning and job performance assessment for all direct reports. Establishes criteria and measurement of individual and team goals.
  • Oversees the day to day operations of Catering/Convention Services and Banquets. Drives the customer experience, department profitability and ensures the highest quality of services possible while maintaining control of all costs.
  • Instrumental in designing, planning and pricing of all menus.
  • Work hand in hand with operational and support departments to ensure that quality of product and level of service is acceptable and meeting customer needs.
  • Handles convention groups as needed for those groups of a sensitive nature or those groups that specifically require assignment to a Director.
  • Maintains established policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely handling of both the billing and distribution of gratuity of all functions, works closely with Sales Team, Accounting and Operations Teams to ensure compliance with all established procedures.
  • Acts as a change agent to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and facilitator skills in conflict resolution and problem solving between different points of views.
  • Participates in meetings and on committees, including, but not limited to Department Head, Revenue Management, Hotel Occupancy, Group Pick Up Review, Menu Review, Quality, Pre and Post Convention Meetings. Occasional participation in operating department, CVB and sales meetings.
  • Communicates initiatives and information on behalf of both the Sales and Meeting Operations Teams to Executive team and property as a whole
  • Travels periodically for the purpose of the following:
  • Attendance to Industry Trade related conventions to meet clients, supplement the sales effort in booking future business, maintain old client friendships and serve on educational panels when requested.
  • Attend specific training seminars and programs as required by Caesars Entertainment.
  • Peer Visits - Traveling to Properties outside of home Region to meet with Property Operations leaders to review processes, procedures and share best practices.
  • Anticipate and handle customer complaints and or problems to ensure quality product delivery, customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
  • Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.


  • College Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management; Equivalent technical training/experience in the food industry and beverage field may be substituted on a year for year basis
  • Minimum five years of banquet experience with three years in a supervisory role


  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Flexibility to meet the various schedules of the Special Events Center functions' needs
  • Computer literate
  • Above average organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
  • Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures


  • Ability to walk, stand, sit for extended periods of time

  • Mobility skills to move quickly and easily around noisy high-volume establishment

This position is a Key Leadership Role within the Convention Services Segment of our Meeting Operations Business. Responsible for the overall success of the convention business encompassing Catering/ Convention Services and Banquets. Oversees Convention/Event Space. Manages both internal and external relationships on a daily basis.
