SCOPE: The REV Group, Fire Division is looking for a Director, Program Management to lead our newly created Program Management office for our transformation initiatives. Reporting to the VP Engineering, Fire Division, this role oversees a group of project managers who assume responsibility for the life of the project with regards to planning, quality, budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction, from receipt of purchase order through final installation and acceptance at the customer’s site. This role will partner with the Senior Leadership to set the course of our transformation initiatives over the next several years to ensure our competitive advantages are maintained and grown through modernizing, standardizing and the supporting technology infrastructure. This includes implementing enterprise applications and processes that re-envision how we design, source, manufacture, and sell by leveraging innovation and emerging technology to create new value streams for the business to enhance our current Fire Division truck brands.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional relationship building skills, have an executive presence and be able to collaborate, manage complexity and drive results. The preferred location for this position would be in Charlotte, MI, however, this position can be remote.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create and drive the direction, strategy and reporting of project management competency for the organization.
- Act as a central hub for project management, provide oversight, best practices, project management systems (including a document repository), standards, guidance, and tools, while providing advisory and coaching support to PM staff and stakeholders.
- Ensure PM competency development of all PM staff and the expansion of PM general knowledge across the organization through various learning and development initiatives and services. Ensure continuous improvement of the internal PM practices and other resources to meet the demands of the PM staff across the organization.
- Champion the PMO team members to understand how their work connects to the overall vision.
- Act as corporate champion and advocate for the PM best practices and enable thoughtful engagement and information sharing by supporting the project communications process.
- Foster and cultivate strong relationships across various levels of the organization, both internal and external, to identify their needs and seek a range of potential business outcomes.
- Value driver performance - Achieve approved fiscal plan (bookings, revenue, EBIT, cash, on time delivery, starts, completions).
- Manage KPIs/Project Management metrics to ensure alignment within the division/organization

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10+ years work related experience,
- Completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Experience in vehicle production or custom manufacturing environment
- Experience creating and establishing a PMO capability from scratch in a large organization
- Experience leading portfolio and program management on $25MM+
- Experience establishing and leading executive sponsorship and governance
- Experience aligning complex program roadmaps, diverse stakeholders, and inter-dependencies.
- Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude, and proven trouble-shooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with demonstrated team building and conflict resolution ability
- Ability to influence at all levels and develop creative solutions to address difficult business situations
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven team building and conflict resolution ability
- Travel 30% including to international locations
