Job Description

Reporting to the Site Head, the role will be responsible for leading and shaping DE&I strategy and operationalizing it for the site, and lead Ethics & Compliance initiatives in collaboration with the Global Ethics and Compliance function, acting as an advisor to the site leadership team on ethics and compliance matters and being a role model Takeda's values, ethical decision making principles, and fostering a values based mindset throughout the manufacturing site operations.


Analyzes and create a retention strategy for existing diverse talent at the Covington location

  • Develops relationships with targeted institutions and organizations to create a diverse pipeline for new diverse talent
  • Develops strategy and success measures for the sites Diversity & Inclusion and Resource Groups
  • Develops and implements a holistic approach to D, E & I, moving beyond short-term programs and initiatives toward systemic integration of D, E & I into people practices that support key business outcomes, so our that internal and external stakeholders increasingly experience sustainable benefits from our diverse, inclusive and engaged workplace.
  • Leads Ethics & Compliance initiatives in partnership with the Global Ethics and Compliance function within GMS/GQ, accountable for localizing and tracking progress of global initiatives at the site.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the site leadership team on ethics and compliance matters and and being a role model of Takeda's values, ethical decision making principles, and fostering this mindset throughout the manufacturing site operations.
  • Lead and develop the Covington site Values Ambassador network and ensure this active network continues to have impact and enhance a culture in-line with Takedas values
  • Implement and localize Global Ethics and Compliance policy ant the site
  • Coordinate and facilitate relevant ethics and compliance training activities
  • Participate in the investigations process and mitigation activities of non-gxp matters related to ethics and compliance
  • Coordinate the execution of ethics and compliance monitoring activities as required
  • Close alignment and partnership with Site Senior Leadership, HR Leaders, Global Ethics and Compliance and Talent Acquisition, ensuring that our Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement approach gets systematically integrated with our Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Learning Solutions and TA strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the field of HR and / or a business ethics discipline with 5+ years in DE&I and 2 years in a management position
  • Proven experience of operating and influencing at a leadership team level.
  • Proven leadership in Diversity & Inclusion preferred and a background in Ethics and Compliance desirable

  • Able to work independently and excel in a diverse, collaborative environment.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and a willingness to work under tight timeframes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated professionalism under stress and the ability to prioritize and organize effectively with planned and unplanned projects and requests.
  • Be an actively listener, curious and have the ability to build a string connection with employees at all levels at the site.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of HR, E&C and Company data and information
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Complexity and Problem Solving

  • Ability to think critically and play the role of a trusted advisor to site leaders.
  • Confidence in recognizing ethical dilemmas and coaching site employees to make decisions in-line with Takeda values.
