Division Chief - Pediatric Endocrinology

Children's Hospital & Medical Center, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting a Division Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology. We seek physician candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor rank who have administrative, academic and clinical practice management experience within a complex, pediatric tertiary care medical center. The successful candidate will be board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology with strong clinical and leadership experience. In addition to the administrative responsibilities of this position, the individual will share in the clinical responsibilities with six faculty members and an established APP team. This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing the clinical, educational, research and advocacy goals of the institution for Endocrinology and will hold a faculty position at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Investigators will be given adequate packages and protected time for research. We seek individuals with strong emotional and social intelligence and a demonstrated ability to connect with others in a meaningful way at all levels of the organization, especially hospital and university leadership.

Children's Hospital & Medical Center is the only full-service, pediatric health care center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. Children's is home to Nebraska's only Level IV regional NICU and the state's only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. A regional heart center, it also offers expertise in pediatric heart transplantation. Children's is focused on extraordinary clinical care, education, basic science and translational research and advocacy and is embarking on transformational programmatic and physical growth. Opening in 2021, the new Hubbard Center for Children will be home to an additional 100 patient beds, an expanded NICU, a dedicated Cardiac Care Unit, a new Cancer & Blood Disorders Unit, expanded surgical space, an expanded Radiology and Emergency Department and more. The Child Health Research Institute was established in 2017 and aims to assist investigators with start-up funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science or translational research. Children's is recognized as a 2019-20 Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in five pediatric specialties: Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Orthopedics and Diabetes & Endocrine Disorders.
