In this role you will support the deployment of Ecostruxure Asset Advisor projects working closely with the project engineering, production, and Digital teams.

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Performs installation and configuration of Ecostruxure Asset Advisor components. Including:
    • Zigbee concentrator devices
    • Thermal sensors
    • ComX and related communication devices
  • Coordinate project designs between plant production and engineering teams.
  • Perform software configuration of communication devices prior to shipment of assembled product.
  • Identify "out of scope" situations that require re-contracting or additional resources to meet customer needs, deliverables, and deadlines and works with the Project Manager or Plant teams to address them.
  • Perform quality inspection and provide test reports of communication assemblies prior to shipment.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment.

On September 9, 2021, U.S. Executive Order 14042 was issued, requiring all who are working in connection with federal contracts to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or have a company-approved medical or religious exemption. Since the Order was issued, the District Court of Georgia has placed a legal hold on the Mandate's vaccine requirements in all states nationwide. As such, the vaccine requirements of the Mandate and the Policy are currently on HOLD for U.S. employees, partners, and vendors. If the legal hold is overturned, we will resume the process to comply with the Mandate and Policy and all Schneider Electric U.S.-based employees will be required to show proof of vaccination or have a company-approved medical or religious exemption. We will continue to monitor and comply with the legal decisions regarding the Mandate and adjust our Policy accordingly. Independent of the legal hold, we will continue to comply with customer vaccination requirements.

This job might be for you if:

  • The ideal candidate should have a degree in Control, Automation, Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent educational background) and should ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an Application Engineer within the automation industry and industrial communication protocols.
  • Therefore, a good knowledge of application, configuration and commissioning of software structure and hardware specification is essential.
  • Candidate should have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates should have proficient knowledge of reading and developing electrical schematics, device layouts, and communication architectures.
  • Software skills and communication hardware skills highly desired.
  • As further qualifications we expect a conversational level of English, the candidate should be able to translate technical datasheets and project specifications to be able to participate in technical calls and other face-to-face meetings.
