The Americas Sales team has one mission. We offer best-in-class solutions and training to our customer base. Educational technology is transforming learning and we will be advocates for that experience, and experts in providing the exact solution that will delight our customers.

The Education Consultant manager is responsible for managing, leading and coaching the Education Consultant teams and Field Sales Engineers in the Western/Eastern region. They are responsible for ensuring a high level of delivery of Promethean's services offerings in their respective territory and guiding Education Consultants/Field Sales Engineers in their region to form and foster customer relationships, build capacity and support technology integration that creates positive changes in schools through Promethean's offerings. In addition, they will manage the pre-sales support for Promethean sales teams through sales meetings/engagements, presentations, and demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and coach a team of Education Consultants in the Western/Eastern region to deliver high quality training, sales support, and represent Promethean to our customer base
    • Manage and coach a team of Field Sales Engineers (Analysts) to ensure successful delivery of technical consultations, technical trainings, and engineering consultation engagements
    • Development of processes and a path for sustainable Field Sales Engineers support and engineering/technical consultation services
    • Develop a workstream and offering to monetize engineering consultation engagements and review/research the market for Field Sales Engineers monetization
    • Support and coach Field Sales Engineers as they test versions of our new hardware and software and provide a feedback loop to the Product teams
    • Manage the delivery of all Professional Services offerings in their territory, including training/professional development and engineering/technical consultations, with a focus on customer satisfaction while driving growth and profitability
    • Manage and coach Education Consultants and Field Sales Engineers in their region to form and foster customer relationships, build capacity, and support integrations/technical implementations
    • Coach Consultants and Engineers to create positive changes in schools and increase user adoption through Promethean's Professional Services offerings
    • Manage and maintain profitable and positive relationships between Sales, Education Consultants, Field Sales Engineers and Channel partners in the Western/Eastern region
    • Train and develop Channel/Partner representatives in Western/Eastern region
    • Provide pre-sales support to Promethean sales teams through presentations, demonstrations, and sales engagements to drive profitability, including management of the Promethean LIVE virtual demo program
    • Manage the recruitment, training and ongoing professional development of Education Consultants and Field Sales Engineers in their region
    • Work closely with other Education Consultant management team members to collaborate and develop strategies for professional development, technical consultations/implementations, product, and sales support
    • Develop frameworks for how customers/teachers implement our products into their daily instruction and train their Education Consultant/Field Sales Engineer teams on implementation strategies
    • Participate and support in meetings and workflows with Product, Product Marketing and Marketing to evaluate, review and test various products (hardware and software), marketing strategies, market segments, and provide support to these departments from an education/pedagogical view
    • Collaborate with sales managers in region to identify customer needs and deliver product demonstrations
    • Job Skills

Required Qualifications

    • 6+ years of teaching experience (as the main instructor) in a US classroom
    • 3+ years management experience in an EdTech environment
    • Self-starter with a self-driven leadership capability
    • Consulting services experience working with strong matrix management skills and ability to work collaboratively
    • Demonstrated leader, who is self-motivated, independent, flexible, enthusiastic, comfortable with ambiguity and organized Self-starter with a self-driven leadership capability
    • High levels of demonstrated knowledge on all aspects of educational technology, technology integration, large-scale technology implementation and current education technology trends
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in both IFPD/IWB training and content development
    • Strong technical background (Android, iOS, Windows, Chrome)
    • Results driven, well organized, flexible, and have strong follow-up skills
    • Strong presentation skills and the ability to excite/relate to educators at all levels/in all subject areas
    • Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to speak in front of large groups of educators is essential
    • Firm understanding of the pedagogy of teaching and learning - shown through the ability to develop / design / deliver exceptional professional development/training support
    • Understanding of the business side of education to support the pre-sales organization
    • A demonstrated understanding of and experience with research-based approaches to the teaching of reading, writing, mathematics and Common Core
    • Masters in Education an asset
