thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer II in Atlanta, GA.

This role is responsible for testing of electrical systems. Position focuses on quality to develop and execute software test plans, test results reporting and development of automated test scripts for functional and system-integration tests for elevator systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Create and execute validation and qualification test plans for electrical components and elevator systems
  • Create new electrical and hardware test cases relevant to elevator use cases
  • Perform tests of requirements as they are defined and document results in test report
  • Records test plans, procedures, and results using excellent documentation practices and communicates results to relevant team members clearly and timely
  • Design and build test fixtures that are used to support both mechanical and electrical testing
  • Works with cross-functional team members within a stage-gate development process to support the testing of new products
  • Assist with project planning, estimation and tracking with development engineering and project management
  • Report development status to supervisor on a regular basis
  • Assist department in troubleshooting technical problems with hardware and elevator systems
  • Training of personnel; Engineer I and Engineering Interns
  • Recommend innovations and improvements to methods, tools, and processes
  • Adhere to company safety procedures, and identify areas for improvement in safety
  • Complete assigned projects on time
  • Utilize broad product knowledge in performing essential job functions
What we look for
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Two or more years' experience in engineering with a focus in hardware and systems testing
  • Experience with electrical testing for the validation and verification phases within new product development.
  • Hands-on experience with building test fixtures to support testing ranging from simple to medium complexity
  • Hands-on, practical experience with building and assembling simple to medium-complexity electromechanical devices
  • LabView experience required, other programming experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic software concepts and software-hardware interactions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required to be able to clearly communicate on a technical level.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Must have ability to analyze and organize daily activities to support the organization in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task, exercise judgment, make decisions and take action to complete task
