The Electronics/Radio Repairman, Maintenance maintains repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.



Essential Functions



Employee will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting highly complex electronic equipment and systems in one or more of the following work situations:



Physical teardown and evaluation, testing and refining developmental equipment lacking in reliable specifications and which may include state-of-the-art technology.



In-service equipment undergoing extensive modification to the extent that it is equivalent to new equipment systems. Accomplishes modifications and conducts tests to verify that equipment meets required parameters and to prove the modification.



Repair and overhaul (pilot overhaul) of complex in-service electronic systems which are newly assigned to the depot. Studies available specifications and procedures, selects test equipment required to assure correct repair and operation of the equipment and conducts a complete series of tests to accomplish overhaul/maintenance procedures using digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes (GRIMS). Equipment includes radar, radio, counter measure, meteorological, intrusion detection, etc.



Applies technical knowledge to perform tasks to repair equipment to standard. Will adhere to company policies and procedures.



Minimum Requirements:



  • Possess working knowledge of the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-A) application software as well as TACOM-Unique Logistics Support Applications (TULSA)


  • Must have knowledge of Army Regulation AR 750-43 (Army Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment).


  • Must have verbal and written fluency in the English language


  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to acquire and maintain aSECRET security clearance


  • Ability to pass a background security investigation as well as drug/alcohol screening prior to employment


  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card


  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time.



You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.



Prefered Qualifications:



  • Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 25R2O/3O Visual Information Equipment Operator-Maintainer, 94EO/3O- Radio and Communications Security (COMSEC) Repairer or 94W4O - Electronics Maintenance Chief or have equivalent training4-6 years of electronics technician experience.
