What you will do

Johnson Controls is searching for a Senior Electronics Engineer to be located at the R&D facility in Westford, MA. In this role you will be responsible for designing electronic analog & digital hardware for new fire alarm products as well as supporting existing product lines. Work may include embedded system designs, small signal and instrumentation circuitry, switch mode power supplies, front panel user interfaces, audio amplifiers, peer-to-peer networking, linear power supplies, sensors and detectors, and fiber optics. In addition, research new technology that can be used within these products.

Work on analog and digital design and analysis

Work on microcontroller and embedded system design

Work with other organizations to conceive, develop, and release new products to production

Work in a team environment to generate creative solutions to product needs

Understand how to design equipment to meet agency certifications (UL, ULC, CE, FCC).

What you will need

Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

5-10 years of experience in electronics design related to analog, power, audio, or embedded products/systems

Discrete electronic component-level knowledge and experience

Experience with electronic CAD (schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related).

Ability to work well with others in a Team environment that spans multiple countries.

Experience transitioning products to manufacturing

Preferred

Power supply design, microprocessors and embedded system design

La Socit de contrle Johnson est la recherche d'un ingnieur lectricien principal pour un poste pouvoir notre centre de recherche et dveloppement situ Brossard au Qubec. Dans ce rle, vous serez responsable d'assurer le soutien du matriel lectronique analogique et numrique de notre gamme de produits d'alarme incendie. Ce soutien technique pourrait exiger d'assurer l'approvisionnement en composants, de contribuer aux efforts de rduction des cots, de participer la recherche et la rsolution des problmes survenus aprs le lancement des produits et au travail de rvision des spcifications afin d'amliorer les produits ou de les remplacer en raison de leur dsutude. Les travaux peuvent porter sur des composants tels des systmes embarqus, des alimentations dcoupage, des interfaces utilisateur de panneau frontal, des amplificateurs audio, des rseaux poste poste, des alimentations linaires, des capteurs et des dtecteurs, et des fibres optiques.

Comment vous parviendrez le faire

  • Vous travaillerez la conception et l'analyse de circuits analogiques et numriques.

  • Vous travaillerez la conception de microcontrleurs et de systmes embarqus.

  • Vous travaillerez avec d'autres entits la conception, au dveloppement et la mise en production de produits.

  • Vous travaillerez en quipe pour trouver des solutions cratives aux besoins en matire de produits.

  • Vous comprendrez comment concevoir de l'quipement de manire ce qu'il respecte les exigences des organismes d'homologation (UL, ULC, CE, FCC).

Ce qu'il vous faudra

  • Baccalaurat en gnie lectrique/lectronique

  • De 5 10 ans d'exprience en conception de composants lectroniques destins des produits/systmes analogiques, lectriques, audio ou embarqus

  • Connaissance et exprience au niveau des composants lectroniques discrets

  • Exprience de la CAO applique l'lectronique (saisie de schmas, simulation de circuits, etc.)

  • Capacit de bien travailler en quipe dans un environnement multipays

Exprience de la transition des produits vers la fabrication
