What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors



As an Engineering / Field Intern, you would work with regular direction and guidance from our construction management team. The primary duty is to utilize entry-level engineering skills to contribute to the inspection and material testing of new construction projects and support existing projects within the department. OHM Advisors internship and co-op program encourage students to submit their resume and inquire about an internship or co-op that would best fit their needs. Internships and co-ops are offered year-round with the greatest percentage of students electing to work in the summer and fall. Internships typically last up to four months.

Your Responsibilities



  • Assist construction team in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of construction practices.

  • Review of construction plans to develop an understanding of the overall project.

  • Construction observation.

  • Assist with material testing processes.

What You Will Need to Succeed



  • Current enrollment in college - civil engineering, environmental, construction or surveying

  • Excellent oral communication skills.

  • Able to work at least 40 hours per week.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook calendaring.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • AutoCAD/Microstation experience a plus.

  • Exceedingly well-organized, flexible, self-sufficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills with a positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
