Key Responsibilities

  • Completes and releases details of engineering information, including solid models, assemblies, drawings, and bills-of-materials(BOMs).

  • Revise CAD models and engineering drawings based upon changes that provide product improvement and/or more efficient manufacturing processes.

  • Develop and maintain drawing standards and formats. Lead standardization efforts for new and legacy drawings.

  • Review manufacturing drawings for accuracy and completeness utilizing ASME 14.5 GD&T principles as a guideline for manufacturing.

  • Assists in investigating design and manufacturing concerns, BOM changes, and assembly issues as they happen in manufacturing, during testing, or in the field.

  • Recommend procedures or process improvements that lead to production release.

  • Support project engineers through product development process, including initial release, revision management, and capture of engineering information.

  • Support manufacturing engineers in process enhancements/ process documentation.

  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as directed by engineering manager.


  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience working in an engineering department.

  • 5-8 years of detail design experience using 3D CAD modeling software required, Solid Edge experience preferred.

  • ASME 14.5 GD&T certification is preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand detailed manufacturing drawings is required.

  • Ability to produce and maintain parts and assemblies in a 3D CAD system is required.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications

  • Mechanical aptitude and strong self-learner

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
