**Job Description**



The Family Office (FO) Consultant supports all revenue streams resulting from our focus on UHNW and FO clients driving sales growth in partnership with Private Bank colleagues. The FO Consultant is a subject matter expert and resource to drive relationship deepening and retention for FO clients and prospects through custom consulting and advisory services. Areas of expertise include family office design and structure, board governance and family dynamics, family business and family office succession planning, philanthropy and overall strategic visioning. The FO Consultant assists with the development of value propositions, best practices and thought leadership, as well as serving as a key educator to clients and prospects as well as colleagues across the markets.



Major responsibilities include **:**



+ Help drive and support sales and business development activities in growing the UHNW and FO investment management business

+ Deliver pre- and post-sale customized consulting and advisory services to UHNW / business owner prospects and relationships for the Private Bank

+ Among the consulting services are advice on how to create a single family office or alternatively, how Bank of America can serve as a clients outsourced family office

+ Additionally, advise clients on family board and committee governance as well as succession planning

+ Assist with the development of FO consulting/advisory tools and deliverables including building tailored resources for specific FO demographics, UHNW sub-sectors, and emerging trends

+ Serve as key practitioner and content creator for FO, including best practice development and delivery

+ Source and deliver presentations at national, regional and market level conferences, seminars and other venues



+ Assist with vetting opportunities, the ongoing discovery process and review/preparation of presentations to clients and prospects as a recognized subject matter expert and resource



**The Candidate**



The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills and competencies:



+ Experience and credibility as a consulting and sales practitioner

+ Deep understanding of UHNW and FO sectors and trends

+ Strong consultative and advisory skills with ability to conceptualize and position ideas and solutions

+ Comprehensive knowledge of Bank of America enterprise capabilities

+ Very broad understanding of key wealth planning techniques of UHNW space as well as typical asset allocation strategies (preferred, but can learn on the job)

+ External visibility through active involvement in role-related networking and affiliate opportunities

+ Effective listening to demonstrate understanding, and ability to communicate with presence, clarity and conviction to influence thinking

+ Excellent ability to work in team environment, both within the Private Bank and across the Bank of America franchise

+ Strong leadership skills

+ Projects executive presence to clients, employees, and colleagues



**Required Qualifications**



+ 10+ years of successful experience with FO sales, consulting and/or relationship management

+ Depth of knowledge in the UHNW space

+ Bachelors degree required, advanced degree strongly preferred

+ CFP and CEPA industry designations preferred, but not required

+ Prior experience within a private family office a plus, but not required
