Job Purpose

The Financial Accountant will assist with month end close process by performing reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely monthly financial statements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with month end close procedures

  • Non-recurring & monthly-recurring business profitability analysis including associated accrual, deferral, and reclassing journal entries

  • Ability to recognize and explain profitability fluctuations based on different customers, projects, and revenue types

  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. Including associated amortization, recurring, and/or clearing transactions

  • Comfortable with company consolidations and departmentally segmented financial reporting

  • Assist with other accounting projects as requested by management


  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent

  • 3+ years relevant accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office

  • SAP experience is preferred

  • Excellent communication and administrative skills

  • Exceptional organization and time management skills

  • Ability to meet all assigned deadlines

  • Ability prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner

  • Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers

  • Regularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and analyzing financial information

  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects

  • Frequently bend to file and maintain files

  • Occasionally lift 5 10 pounds
