Position Description:
Distribution and/or stacking of raw materials and finished product in a correct, safe, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of a lift truck in both warehouse and production areas
- Utilizing the scanning system
- Following and adhering to logistics ISO procedures
- Adhere to specific measures as defined by the department and/or plant
- Distinguishing different pack codes for different products
- Supplying production lines with raw material
- Loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished product.
- Inspection of trailers to ensure condition and safety of trailer as well as compliance with plant Food Safety Requirements
- Correct and accurate completion of assigned paperwork
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
- Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
- Various activities as needed to support other departments in the plant. May include non-forklift activities as well as cross training into other areas of the facility as the business demands
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have flexibility of job assignments
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Safe operation of forklift with a minimum of 2 years of forklift driving experience
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to work and communicate with others
