General Summary of Position: The Senior Business Systems Analyst (Document Management Systems) is a key member of the Enterprise Applications team, responsible for the administration, functional support, and ongoing enhancement of UMass Lowell’s enterprise document management platform, Softdocs. This position serves as the primary functional administrator for document management systems and provides cross-support for related platforms including DocuSign, Salesforce, Form Assembly, Perceptive Content, ServiceNow, and other integrated cloud-based applications.
The Senior Analyst collaborates with university stakeholders to analyze, design, implement, and support digital document, form, and workflow solutions. This role works in close coordination with UMass System Information Technology Services (UITS) and works with the Softdocs vendor as needed to support system operations, integrations, and issue resolution, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and university information security standards.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
3+ years demonstrated experience with document management and workflow automation applications
7 to 10 f experience as a business systems analyst and systems administrator
7 to 10 of experience as a project manager supporting enterprise applications
7 to 10 years experience in change control and change management
Management of consultants and/or vendors supporting projects
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into system requirements
Understanding of data governance, information security, and compliance principles
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and system-level IT teams
Ability to make presentations and conduct training for all size audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct, hands-on experience with the Softdocs enterprise document management and workflow automation platform
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) PMI Institute
Experience in higher education or complex enterprise IT environments
Experience with systems such as DocuSign, Perceptive Content, or ServiceNow
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or similar certification
Experience with integration platforms such as Boomi or other middleware tools

This position is full-time, benefited and in the SEIU professional union in P20. Anticipated salary based on qualifications within range. Range minimum: $85,689, 25th quartile: $98,542 and midpoint: $111,396.
