Job Description

The new Global Procurement Organization is driving a transformation agenda, moving toward a more strategic and global approach and ways of working, enabling simplification and standardization of procurement processes, while demonstrating a collaborative mindset. This role has category management responsibilities for Kimberly-Clarks purchases in Marketing Insights, Analytics, and related subcategories, in which global spend is approx. $100 - 150MM. The position will report directly to the Global Director, Marketing Procurement.

The Global Procurement Lead-Marketing Insights and Analytics will:

  • Develop and oversee the global category strategy and key supplier relationships for all Marketing Insights and Analytics spend at K-C.
  • Build category expertise and provide guidance to regional teams in the context of stakeholder needs, data quality and service benchmarking and analysis, and effective supplier performance and relationship management.
  • Ensure that K-C is maximizing value for money with suppliers while delivering high levels of data quality, service, and security for sensitive internal and external data.
  • Lead Supplier relationship management, building and facilitating partnerships with strategic suppliers and key executives within K-C.
  • Establish strong connections with stakeholders, providing leadership and market expertise and engaging them in procurement processes and decisions.

  • You are currently or have worked in Market Insights and Analytics, Consumer Research, Data Analytics, and/or have relevant Marketing or IT Procurement experience and would be excited to leverage your expertise to deliver value on a global scale?
  • You would find excitement in working with Regional Buyers, guiding, teaching, and leading them through the deployment of global business and negotiation strategies.
  • You are able to diagnose and resolve complex issues and have the patience to work and perform in a complex and matrixed operating environment.
  • You have the demonstrated ability to understand strategic business needs, communication and relationship building skills at different organization levels, willingness to be a team player, are available to travel internationally and have experience working with different cultures.


Lead the strategic sourcing and category management of Marketing Insights and Analytics including syndicated data, consumer research and tools, analytics, social listening, and 1st and 3rd party data. Value of purchases are typically in the $100-150MM range and support both regional and global purchases across multiple business units.


  • Develops a thorough strategic plan to drive value for the category based on an understanding of business unit needs, category spend, the supply market, bench-marking and changing market dynamics.
  • Balances strategy development with the tactical execution necessary to execute value creation projects which include cost reduction, cash improvement, and improvement in service quality and supplier capabilities.
  • Provides innovative sourcing solutions to the customer by bringing continuous improvement and market driven innovation to their attention, offering credible alternatives where applicable.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to develop robust category sourcing and supplier relationship management strategies.
  • Leads bidding process, negotiating pricing/terms and conditions, and final contract award and implementation.
  • Analyzes market and supply dynamics related to supplier proposals to develop a matrix of negotiation scenarios.
  • Leads the development of risk analyses, assessments and mitigation plans for their category.
  • Proactively interacts with business units to develop, engage and lead supplier relationships for extracting the greatest value in cost, security of supply, risk management, sustainability and innovation.
  • Uses specific market analysis to predict behavior and supply risks to the organization. May provide market analysis to customers and advice to others within procurement.
  • Develops and stays up to date with trends, opportunities, and risk in the category.


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of business experience including experience working within Market Insights and Analytics or in the Procurement of Marketing Insights and Analytics or related Marketing and/or IT spend categories.
  • Experience in a cross-functional and/or business unit role in which category knowledge was gained and applied.
  • Experiencing in leading complex negotiations with a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Project management/continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience as a thought leader demonstrating ability to influence others.
  • Category knowledge gained through experience in cross functional roles.
  • Experience establishing resource networks and building relationships.

K-C will support in-country relocation for the chosen candidate for the role. The benefits provided will be per the terms of K-Cs applicable mobility policies. The benefits/policy provided will decided in K-Cs sole discretion.
