Global Research, Vice President/Associate, Quantitative Research Strategist

**Job Description:**
The candidate will work alongside their Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst peers in all aspects to produce and market quantitative research to BofA financial advisors, BofA sales and trading, as well as to institutional accounts, such as hedge funds and long only asset managers. The candidate will work on idea generation to present relevant quantitative research themes and views, including investor positioning, flows, equity factor models and index rebalances. The candidate will also analyze new investment strategies by backtesting new (alternative) data sets, such as the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) attributes and Natural Language Processing (NLP) data products.
**Responsibilities**
+ Write regular equity quantitative research reports
+ Produce collaborative reports with fundamental analysts and across asset classes
+ Develop and maintain databases and indicators integral to our research product
+ Closely monitor and interpret factor rotation and relay to Senior Analyst
+ Generate investment ideas by backtesting BofAs proprietary data sets as well as third party data
+ Work closely with the ESG research team and analyze implications of ESG attributes in investment processes
+ Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts across the BofA platform.
+ Participate and contribute to client meetings and events
+ Attend meetings and interact with key opinion leaders
+ Seek out new, value-added, and/or off-the-beaten-path sources of information
+ Leverage our robust network of industry contacts & interact regularly with clients
**Qualifications**
+ BA in Finance or a related quantitative field, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics
+ Minimum 4 to 6 years of related work experience preferred
+ Experience back-testing investment strategies, working with alternative data sets a plus
+ Experience in ESG/sustainable investing or related field a plus
+ Strong writing and spreadsheet skills; must have advanced MS Excel skills
+ Experience working with statistical packages and/or programming experience (e.g. Python and SQL) preferred
+ Experience utilizing FactSet (Alpha testing and Universal Screening) and MS Access preferred
+ Entrepreneurial, proactive, willing to take ownership of quantitative research products
+ Able to thrive in a fast-paced and intense environment
+ Must have excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task
+ Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal
+ Must work well in a collaborative team environment
