Your Responsibilities



  • Topographic,Construction, and Boundary surveying techniques

  • Support project managers and project teams with survey cost estimates, statusreports, andhigh-quality surveying services in a responsive manner.

  • Ability to work in the field as well as in the office.

  • Understand state and local regulations regarding surveying.

  • Assist senior surveyors and Project Managers to develop surveying fees, write proposals and negotiate and review contracts

  • Effectively communicate information to staff, clients, and the leadership team.

  • Help build the professional practice of the firm.

  • Participate in related professional societies, conferences, and local organizations in support of business development and networking.

  • Using complex optical and electronic instruments and equipment. Trimble experience is a plus.

  • Communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc.

What You'll Need to Succeed



  • Bachelor's Degree inSurveying or a Bachelor's in Engineering with the ability to obtain a Surveyor License is required;

  • Experience in diverse surveying environments is preferred.

  • Experience with GPS equipment is preferred.

  • Experience with GIS software is preferred.

  • Familiarity and license to commercially operate a drone is a plus

  • Experience with LiDAR a plus

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D,MicroStationv8, GEOPAK, Carlson, and familiarity with ODOT survey standards preferred.

  • Ability to understand and complete projects with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present work to the team in a clear and concise manner.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
