TASK DESCRIPTION: Supply Technician (01410):





This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.





Task Requirements:





  • Shall have overall responsibility for HAZMAT program management. This person shall possess knowledge of principles, standards, and techniques of HAZMAT management. This person must have familiarity and knowledge of applicable Federal, DOD, State, and Local regulations pertaining to the protection of the environment

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Preferred Qualifications:





  • Four (4) or more years of practical experience in the management, administration, or operation of a hazardous materials/waste program. The experience shall include receiving, storage, distribution, handling, and disposal of all types of material that may be utilized at the Contractors job site.



Basic Qualifications:





  • At least two (2) years of practical experience within the last four (4) years in the management, administration, or operation of a hazardous materials/waste program. The experience shall include receiving, storage, distribution, handling, and disposal of all types of material that may be utilized at the Contractors job site. At least one (1) of the two (2) years of experience shall include planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating a HAZMAT program for an entire organization.

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate

  • Must be able work work-week schedules i.e. M-F, Sn-Th or as required per PWS

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance

  • Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft

  • Must be able to use hand and power tools

  • Must have dexterity to handle small parts

  • Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties if required



Employment is contingent on a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
