Expected Hours of Work Full-time management position.

Travel: Minimal travel may be required.

Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree preferred and at least five year's relevant hotel distribution management and call center management experience.

Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:

  • Create, communicate, and execute a well-defined online distribution strategy and roadmap with clear critical metric objectives.
  • Define, develop, and lead strategic and tactical global OTA/Wholesale/Third Party optimization plans that support the company's third party directives.
  • Ensure the successful integration of OTA/Wholesale/Third Party channel initiatives into broader commercial focus strategies.
  • Lead the innovation and operationalization of channel specific media campaigns delivering a positive return on investment.
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of frequent and accurate monitoring, analysis, tracking, and Quality Assurance (QA) processes across all channel partners and distribution systems, driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversee large-scale operational projects, centered around improving key distribution processes and functions, with a continued focus on effective change management and low impact deployment.
  • Enhance the management, analysis, and communication of channel performance against critical metrics
  • Effectively negotiate third party contracts, stay current with distribution related legislation and contribute to strategic engagement with influencers in the space.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to improve the understanding of channel demand and implement tactics to direct the demand in a way that supports strategic enterprise revenue optimization goals.
  • Enhance the company-wide understanding of the online third party space by overseeing and improving organizational design, structure, priorities, processes, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Stay abreast of and provide subject matter expertise on distribution related industry trends and innovation opportunities, including new players and distribution models.
  • Gain key partner support to secure funding and budget for optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee online third party budgets and make recommendations on the optimal use of enterprise and hotel funds.
  • Align across online third party optimization goals across all operating regions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a distribution technology strategy in collaboration with Information Technology (IT) and other distribution functions.
  • Work closely with the Revenue Management leadership on identifying potential opportunities in revenue generation.
  • Manage Distribution team members through hiring, training, and development.
  • Manage and optimize relationship and results with third party call center and providers.
  • Manage technology and channel vendor partner relationships, holding the vendors accountable for supporting Sonesta distribution strategies.
  • Work in liaison with revenue team members by supporting and enhancing their know-how in using all distribution systems through best practices, training, hands-on reviews and more.
  • Work in liaison with other department leaders to lead process of onboarding new hotels and transition hotels.
  • Budget and Forecast channel costs for the management company.
  • Five years relevant hotel distribution management experience.
  • Third party call center management experience preferred.
  • Proficient in hospitality systems such as CRS, RMS, and PMS.
  • SynXis, IDeaS, and Opera skills preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
