Activity 3: Integrated Reporting, Investigation and Surveillance System (IRIS)



SUMMARY



Conduct user training and data quality assurance for the various disease investigator/contact tracer groups using the Integrated Reporting, Investigation and Surveillance (IRIS) system for COVID-19.



  • Preferable candidates within Los Angeles County

  • Remote/on-site depending on work need and hiring managers discretion

  • Standard work hours (40 hours/week)

This full-time benefitted position is grant funded through July 2022.



Employment is provided by Heluna Health.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



The duties of the Health Program Analyst II include, but are not limited to:



Develops system user training programs for COVID-19 contact tracers and/or recommends modifications based on needs analysis in accordance with local, State, and/or federal requirements



Conduct training sessions for nurses and other staff performing contact tracing using IRIS



Evaluates the effectiveness of training and develops standards for evaluation



Prepares written reports on program activities and on progress toward achieving the overall goals of the COVID-19 contact tracing program



Complies with DPH training regarding confidential information related to personal information



Accepts responsibility for other duties as assigned





JOB QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum Qualifications



A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in either Public Health Administration, Epidemiology, Public Health Statistics, Public Health Microbiology or Communicable Disease Control -AND- four years of experience in the analysis of mental health or public health programs. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in either Public Health Administration, Epidemiology, Public Health Statistics, Public Health Microbiology or Communicable Disease Control may be substituted for one year of the required experience.



Desirable Qualifications



A Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing (MSN)



Experience working as a Public Health Nurse at a local health department



Work experience training nurses via computer trainings online, in-person, and in classrooms



Experience developing training programs, workshops, writing training manuals, tip sheets, instructional documents, protocols/procedures, questionnaires, forms, etc.



Work experience evaluating training programs by developing measurement tools, planning goals, objectives, and timelines



Proficiency using the following software: MS Word, Excel, Teams, Access, Visio, Publisher, Project, and Adobe Acrobat



Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills to assist system users with issues received via electronic tickets, email or phone



Licenses/Certificates/Clearances



A valid California drivers license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
