The Accreditation Director will have the opportunity to actively support the overall excellence of the hospital and health system through a wide array of compliance programs and regulatory affairs projects.

Reporting to the Administrative Director for Quality, Risk, and Safety, the Regulatory Accreditation Director will play an important role in the administrative operations of the hospital and its associated facilities. Supported by a small team of Compliance Analysts, the Accreditation Team will actively spearhead operations around achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance and accreditation across disciplines, service lines, and reporting environments.

One of the primary duties of the Hospital Accreditation Director will be to serve as a leader and subject matter expert for Regulatory Survey processes. This person will work closely with nursing, medical staff, and administrative leaders to ensure that the facility and its satellite clinics are well-prepared for surveys and in compliance. Experience with a wide range of surveys like The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, OSHA, and CDPH (California Department of Public Health), will certainly be important.

The Regulatory Director will need to have strong communication skills, over a range of media and audiences. This person will be working closely with internal, local, government, and NGO survey organizations to ensure that each service line in the medical center is compliant with its associated regulator. In pursuit of this goal, the Director will get to serve as a change agent, supporting mock surveys and educational initiatives, as well as developing process improvement initiatives.
