Job Responsibilities
With locations across the globe, we are looking for a Human Resource Business Partner for our Tualatin, OR location. This is a collaborative role within the CTO organization and requires strategic thought partnership - across all levels of the company, to champion and influence Lam's Organization and People agenda.

This position plays an active role in implementing strategies and programs in support of both short and long-term business objectives with the overall goal of retaining, engaging and developing the best talent for Lam Research. The HRBP directly influences our talent, determines investments in targeted development and manages organizational effectiveness initiatives. It provides counsel regarding people effectiveness, application of human resource practices, policies and procedures, learning and development initiatives, compliance, and resolution of employee relations issues. Additionally, this role partners with the leadership team to deliver critical programs including: Annual Focal Review, Org Audit/Succession Planning, Performance Management and On-Boarding and Assimilation. As an integral part of the business team, this role includes management coaching and general support; conducting investigations, complaint resolutions, staff counseling, talent reviews and local training. This is a full-time, strategic and hands-on position reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, Office of the CTO.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Partnering with management to deliver annual Global Human Resources initiatives as defined in the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Liaison for Organization effectiveness, org design, succession/ work force planning for Livermore Manufacturing Operations & Global Logistics.
  • Coaching managers and supervisors on employee relations issues; facilitating prompt issue resolution and conducting related investigations.
  • Guiding employee recognition and retention programs.
  • Overseeing employment-related matters in partnership with the corporate functions including Staffing, Onboarding and Assimilation, Immigration, and Relocation.
  • Seek, provide and drive data to identify trends, determine root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
To be successful, the person filling this position will:

  • Exhibit strong judgment, sound decision-making, and the ability to set or adjust priorities as the business environment demands.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic partnerships in achieving business results.
  • Have strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, in order to build and establish partnerships with line management and across Global Human Resources.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency, bias for action, and possess an authentic desire to thrive in a complex organization.
  • Be team oriented and role model leadership skills.
  • Think; Customer, Company, Individual. Be a highly analytical thinker and problem solver. Be attentive to detail, extremely organized, curious and driven by the desire to do the right thing.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Teams, and other HR systems
  • Attention to detail and holistic generalist experience
  • An ideal candidate would be one that has recently worked as an HR manager level generalist executing HR programs
  • Exhibit strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects to closure, effectively and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development.
  • At least ten years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws; displays integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
  • Strong business acumen, consulting, analysis, communication, presentation, negotiation, influencing, conflict management and problem solving skills.
  • Technical proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and concise communicator.
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Experience working with exempt and non-exempt client groups preferred.

Additional Requirements:
  • Travel as required by the business.
