What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

  • Provides Human Resources oversight, consultation and service delivery to assigned business area.

  • Heavily focused on partnering with facility leadership to identify, develop, implement, and measure retention efforts at each assigned community.

  • Develop and execute HR strategic plans to support the obtainment of business goals and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Successfully build and maintain influential relationships with employees, regional teams, and facility leadership.

  • Serves as training facilitator of various training programs. Prepares and presents HR focused trainings at regional meetings, facility meetings or other settings on various topics; management, leadership, retention best practices, etc.

  • Analyzes data to identify trends and works with the regional teams and/or facility leadership to create plans addressing areas of opportunity: turnover and retention, wages, exit interviews, new hire surveys, etc.

  • Consults with site leadership regarding effective team member communication and prompt follow up to employee complaints submitted through the Compliance Hotline. Provides assistance with complaint responses, monitoring and reporting.

  • Provide guidance to our leaders to drive resolution of employee relations issues, including compliance/legal issues, performance management, and conflict situations.

  • Works with each communitys Payroll Benefit Coordinators and management team to develop their skills and knowledge regarding the day-to-day application of all Human Resources policies, practices and processes, with particular focus on positive candidate and employee experiences, employee relations and customer service.


  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in Human Resources Management, preferably with multisite healthcare employer.

  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred.

  • Must be able to travel between buildings and some overnight travel may be required

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate; resolve conflicts and coach managers and employees, and work in a team-based environment.
