POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Generalist II administers the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist II carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, performance management, benefits (limited), compensation (administrative) and wellness.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with managers to understand skills required for open positions primarily in the Main Office.
  • Reviews, updates and conducts new hire orientations, benefit orientations and other presentations/training.
  • Performs workplace investigations and assists in review and update of the business process.
  • Administers office hourly and salaried performance evaluation process.
  • Coaches supervisors and managers in the performance improvement process.
  • Assists Director of Compensation with the job description review process.
  • Assists with development, analysis, and updates of HR metrics.
  • Administers the relocation benefit.
  • Assists in the completion of the I-9 process for new hires including E-verifications and appropriate follow-up.
  • Updates work instructions as designated in Master Chart.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in talent management and employment law and recommends changes to business processes and policies.
  • Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Works collaboratively across all plants and all levels of the organization to effectively meet objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business field

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources in the areas of recruiting and performance management.

Required Skills:
  • Understanding of Human Resources general policies and procedures.
  • Good understanding of employment laws.
  • Desire to work as a team with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Aptitude for problem solving.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience working in ATS and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • Occasional time spent walking (this includes time spent in a manufacturing environment).
  • Occasional time spent traveling (flying/driving) to other plant locations.
  • Occasional time spent working a flexible schedule.
