  • Provides technical leadership for research project implementation and coordination
  • Design and execute highly technical laboratory experiments
  • Produce, analyze, and present data effectively across the organization


  • Able to culture and perform in vitro assays for the evaluation of T cells, NK cells and other immune cells
  • Independently conducts multiple complex experiments and/or tasks within a project scope, exercising judgement to evaluate a variety of technical factors, and obtain optimum solutions
  • Able to schedule and execute on tasks and protocols independently with minimal training/some guidance from manager or project representative
  • Ability to improve and develop new protocols/new assays and address key questions
  • Able to interpret and analyze data, helping to incorporate results into overall scientific projects; Independently generates novel hypothesis
  • Able to summarize and present literature data within department and occasionally to broader audiences
  • Able to organize and prepare reagents to fulfill cross-project needs
  • Independently keeps abreast of current literature to increase knowledge base and implement improvements
  • Experience with human primary cells and flow cytometry preferred, but not required


Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Demonstrates in-depth technical knowledge within discipline
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of concepts, applications and methods as the recognized technical expert in subfield
  • Able to clarify requests and provide suggestions and put data into context
  • Understands why one series of experiments is more appropriate than others


  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment
  • Able to leverage and engage cross-functional team members in support of goals


  • Receives high level instructions on all work; acts independently to determine methods on new assignments; may manage junior staff


  • BS in a scientific discipline, or equivalent with 8+ years experience, or MS in a scientific discipline, or equivalent with 5+ years experience
