Essential Duties:



  • Drive sales revenue to exceed company objectives, while achieving selected sales targetsthrough understanding of both formal and informal account structures, as well as application of listening, territory planning and basic selling skills

  • Establish relationships with mid to low revenue accounts to increase customer loyalty and minimize attrition, using probing and diagnostic skills to gain a deeper understanding of customers

  • Prospect and develop relationships with new customers. Coordinate on-going customer relationships with a particular focus on up selling and cross selling. Attain or exceed assigned sales, profit, and market share goals consistently with respect to expense guidelines.

  • Make outbound telephone calls to all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made, achieving daily customer phone contact objectives.

  • Provide a solution for customers needs through a consultative sales approach emphasizing product features and benefits.

  • Prepare sales quotes.

  • Identify decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to start the sales process.

  • Create and deliver qualified prospects to Area Sales Managers.

  • Assist customers with website navigation and online registration.

  • Assist with documentation and handling of customer complaints while working with other departments to provide follow-up.

  • Develop product knowledge sufficient to successfully conduct an effective telephone sales presentation.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Microbiologics Terms and Conditions and Product Line

  • Basic understanding of the financial and industry impact of our products as well as customer applications or product use, expectations for service and product performance

  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects of the organization.

  • Outbound and inbound account management.

  • Maintain an active pipeline and capture accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).

  • Travel up to 20% for required sales activity including customer visits, training, exhibits, etc.

  • Monitor and communicate key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers.

  • Serve as a liaison between the US Area Sales Managers and the Customer Service department.

Education/Experience



  • High School education or equivalent required.

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.
