  • Supports analytic and operational activities to assemble, correlate, evaluate, and assess information concerning counterintelligence, security, human capital, and information assurance related insider threats against DSS personnel, programs, information systems, and/or facilities

  • Applies knowledge of CNE tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with advanced cyber threats to develop analytical signatures and filters to refine anomaly detection with the Insider Threat Program data store/database that are internal to the organization. The primary distinguishing characteristic of this capability is knowing the specific content being read, moved, and altered within the organization by the internal threat and applying context and analysis to that knowledge

  • Performs event analysis by examining network traffic data and Host Based Security Systems audit data, SIEM data, and any other technical feeds received from Agency security tools

  • Analyzes and disseminates insider threat analysis information as required

  • Performs insider threat analysis, forecasts, and threat alerts with recommended countermeasures to include new policy trigger protocols or tuning of existing policies

  • Prepares formal analysis products and repots with findings and recommendations

  • Prepares and presents briefings as a subject matter expert, as required

  • Makes policy trigger recommendations to the government and policy analyst to enhance current capabilities and tune current policy triggers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an active DoD-issued, Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience analyzing UAM data sets and audit tools

  • Must be trained and proficient in the most current version of the auditing and monitoring tool chosen by the Government

  • Must have a thorough understanding of all source analysis and the proper use of basic analytic tools (e.g., Analyst Notebook)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) and non-state entity use of technology to target, collect, and exploit DOD information and information systems, personnel, and operations

  • Must be able to identify intelligence gaps, specify data collection requirements to fill gaps in information, and evaluate resulting intelligence requirements

  • Must be able to present analysis and threat assessments to the Government

  • Must have an understanding of the intelligence cycle and architecture, to include planning, collection, research, analysis, and production

  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft applications and commonly used analytic software tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience,preferred
