Coke Florida is seeking an Inventory and Warehouse Improvement Director. This role is responsible for leading Continuous Improvement, Inventory Processes, and Capability Development to transform Coke Florida's Supply Chain using subject matter expertise of business transformation concepts such as Value Stream Analysis and Process Improvement, Lean Thinking, and Capability Program Development.

  • Assess Supply Chain activities and identify opportunities to make improvements using business transformation concepts
  • Provide the project management and leadership necessary to implement process improvement and then the ongoing rollout of a new Supply Chain operating system
  • Interact with key Supply Chain and broad business leadership to develop the business process transformation vision and strategies that will enable best in class customer service while minimizing waste throughout the Supply Chain
  • Lead and drive business transformation initiatives and ongoing process improvement in the Inventory and Warehouse operations
  • Properly engage, collaborate and influence all functions in business transformation efforts to ensure the Supply Chain process improvement strategy is understood, and sufficiently supported by the appropriate stakeholders
  • Lead the implementation of standard processes where it makes sense for the business.
  • Lead the technical training programs and sharing of knowledge with local Supply Chain teams to enable them to develop business transformation capabilities
  • Co-own responsibility for improving performance in key business metrics
  • Provide change management leadership to ensure we achieve and sustain our targeted performance levels
  • Model, lead and coach people on the culture change necessary to support and sustain business process transformation
  • Utilize the current management system documentation to standardize and sustain the performance improvement and improvement process
  • Provide the knowledge, leadership and experience with Value Stream Analysis and Improvement, Lean Thinking and Six Sigma necessary to lead Supply Chain transformation and process improvement

Role Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management Leadership across the Coke Florida Network
  • Provide leadership in the development of the business process transformation vision and strategies. Short term- Provide "hands on" process improvement leadership where gaps are identified
  • Long Term- Lead Technical Capability development programs for front line associates and leadership. Transition into new technical capabilities such as WMS, IMS, and Warehouse Automation
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to assess Supply Chain activities across Coke Florida to determine the greatest opportunities for process change resulting in improved customer service and cost reductions. Contribute to the prioritization of business transformation projects and on decisions the projects to be implemented
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to bring commercial strategy to execution
  • Develop project strategies, goals, and plans that enable the Supply Chain organization to improve internal operations and practices
  • Responsible for strategic Supply Chain business process improvement initiatives being understood, communicated, executed, and measured across Coke Florida
  • Track and monitor effectiveness of management routines and metrics; recommend and implement changes as needed to ensure business objectives are met
  • Implement regular management routines to drive execution, focus and results on all projects

Facilitate
  • Collaborative, cross-functional team approach to process improvement that team member builds skills.
  • Regular business reviews with customers in order to monitor relationship, re-affirm strategies linked to needs, and steward the business value created for the customer.
  • Problem solving/process improvement sessions as prioritized by Supply Chain Leadership

Collaborate
  • With business leaders and teams to share successes, best practices and ensure company-wide achievement of annual goals
  • With our customers and in professional organizations - specifically in supply chain excellence - to promote a positive Coca Florida presence
  • External System stakeholder interaction such as Coke One North America (CONA), NPSG, Coca-Cola Bottling System (CCBSS), etc.
  • Internal System stakeholder interaction with IT, Enterprise Planning, Manufacturing, etc.
  • With other Lean Thinking, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement subject matter experts to continue personal development and gain knowledge and understanding of other business transformation successes and failures

Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on operational roles in supply chain management in a large consumer goods organization
  • 3+ years of experience in leadership roles responsible for leading operations management/lead professional level people
  • Strong experience with change management and influencing organizational culture change
  • Inventory Management, warehousing and distribution within the Coke system
  • 2+ years applying Lean Thinking principles in a manufacturing / distribution environment
  • Must be willing to travel as much as 50% of the time
