Position Overview



CRH Americas Materials is currently recruiting for the position of an IT Business Analyst Intern within the Business Analyst. The successful intern candidate will be responsible for assisting other analyst in their duties. This is a full-time internship.







Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)





To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.





  • Organized and can communicate clearly orally and written.

  • Analyze problem statements and excels at creating documentation.

  • Work with others to identify stakeholders to be interviewed and assist in capturing requirements using standard templates and techniques.

  • Coordinating meetings with analyst and stakeholders.

  • Capture notes and write up of meeting minutes.

  • Document business processes effectively.

  • Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes.

  • Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company

  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required

  • Other duties as assigned





Qualifications





Education/Experience





  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

  • Working experience with programs such as One Note and Visio

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)





Work Requirements





  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Willingness to work independently and within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.





Knowledge/Skill Requirements





  • Able to read and/or follow written and verbal instructions and implement the same.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to actively listen

  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to achieve results with a hands-on, collaborative approach; works well in a team.

  • Action orientated and drives for results

  • Strong planning and organization skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities to manage multiple project streams and complexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented way required

  • Able to communicate with others by telephone, video conferencing and in person.

  • Able to utilize a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.

  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

  • The position may require work outside of normal business hours.
